A quiet one..

I am so glad I had a quiet and relaxing weekend this time round. After what I went through on Friday! Yikes, the crowd was crazy in KLCC and traffic was bad all a long Jln Ampang. After being stuck for half an hour, my friend and I then realized that the jam was due to the sudden closure to the KLCC car parks and cars were force to find other alternatives. (I only found out today that the massive stream of people were mainly due to some PC Fair!!!!).

Our mission on that crazy Friday night was to watch Casino Royale at KLCC. We had to drive in circles until we decided to just park the car in Ampang Park and take the LRT to KLCC. But then again luck was not on our side when tickets for the BOND movie were sold out. Yayaya…some people just keep running out of luck eh. We opted for the movie Déjàvu instead. Hehe…and honestly, it was a good choice because I discovered later that Denzel Washington was the main guy…yippie!

I had no expectations of the Déjà vu movie as I was clueless on the story line as well as the actors. Only found out about Denzel Washington when my friend told me a few minutes before the movie started…..Muuahaha :D. Apart from the impressive and beautiful acting skills from Washington, I found the movie to be a little bit unrealistic. I just couldn’t see the importance of the time travel theory in a murder/bombing situation and the meddling with the past. Although the movie agrees to the theory of Science and Physics that we can actually send a message or note to the past. It also believes that we can actually travel to the past and change things. Nonetheless, I still think it was too much to comprehend in a 2 hour movie. So for you guys and gals who are into action pack thriller, science, physics and time travel, go watch the movie!

My next movie hopefully will be CINTA, it is a Malay movie with 5 interrelated stories. My friends can’t seem to stop promoting the movie. Hmm, I do hope it is worth the money or I will end up strangling someone.…hehe!

Posted by PicasaSo I guess for the next few days, me, myself and I will be busy catching up on movies and reading. Oh talk about reading, Kinokuniya is having their bargain deals again (where you buy a second book on top of their selected range of books for a 20percent discount). I grabbed the opportunity and bought a book by Sean Thomas. The book entitled, "Millions of Women are waiting to Meet You" tells the poignant, hilarious and intriguing story of Sean Thomas himself when he was asked to venture into internet dating. Reading the first few chapters was definitely enjoyable and I can’t wait to complete the whole book.

Here is to a great week ahead. For those of you who are still on holiday, Happy Hols!

I certainly am going to watch Cicak-man because the kids have been talking about it for weeks now. Anyway, James Bond is not bad. This time is quite real.
I'll probably be watching Deja Vu sometime this week. Thanks for the review, I love movies that are difficult to comprehend. :)

Thumbs up for Casino Royale..mmg best..the fight scenes kept me at the edge of my seat although there were not many gadgets like those you see in other typical Bond movies. The new Bond guy pun I think is way much much better looking than Pierce Brosnan. The former fits the Bond image better, and more buffed up. Before the movie, we also saw the Deja-vu trailer, and it also looked good. It will definitely be the next one to watch, apart from Cinta!

nzn,
yes...we should support the local industry only if they produce good and quality movies la kan. i thought Sepet and Gubra are one of the awesome ones.. Ni nak gi tengok movie Cinta and Cicak man! Tengok the trailer...nampak macam best giles :) So jom kita sama2 gi gegarkan the cinemas :)

Hi dnas,
I pun planning to watch cicak man, my lil niece is sooo into cicaks..we even have the rubber cicaks for her to play. Whats the correlation between kids and cicak la kan..hehehe.
Anyways I am sure cicak man will be a BIG hit among the kids. You have fun with the movie watching ya!

Yeah I thought the massive crowd was because of the isetan member sale. Rupanye the had that PC fair..Was bad..the worst experience for me when it comes to KLCC. So mama mesti shopping sakan...what did you buy?? :P

Angel..
Thanks for the feedback la babe!
I will probably watch it alone since the movie can be so sedih and all..:)

firstly, i seriously thought i saw you in KLCC that friday tapi tak sure. kang malu je tegur salah orang.

secondly, nasib baik you tak beli casino royale esp the 8.30 show. i've heard people who queue up for the tickets only to be told 10 minutes before the show that it was cancelled. moi included. apparently, TGV did a double booking %^#*@&(#(@!!!

thirdly, looking at your horizontal banner, jadi seram semacam... don't eat me sudah le ;P

oh yeah...that's funny.. "when i am sad i eat a cookie"... be careful, toughcookie!! hehe

You should have watched 'Happy Feet' instead, very enjoyable..cos after that chaotic traffic experience, to sit down and watch a complicated movie, hmm.. not a very good idea. hehe.

Trueblue,
Well it does not matter where you watch the movies..I know watching DVDs at home can be blissful as well..boleh siap makan, baring and all. Oh and not to forget you can watch like two to three movies in a row. Bestnye :)

Idham,
if I am you...I wuldn't mind missing the mad rush and bad traffic jams. Ahh you not bad eh..updated sungguh dgn the latest movies showing :) Hopefully when you are back in KL for the hols, you can watch CINTA on VCD/DVDs.

As for Merapuman..you are one unique guy tak samala dgn cicak-man :P

Biskut,
Hey you...I was in KLCC at 6pm, the movie started arnd 6.15pm and ended at 8pm..It could be me you know..hehe. Anyways if it was really me and all...tegurla...wld be fun meeting you in person :)

Wow, TGV pun can make a blunder..horrible! They make people wait and be all excited pas tu..announce like it was a small thing. Gosh they really need to improve.
I remembered once when I watched Da Vinci Code months ago, we watched the movie with the lights on for a whole half an hour. POeple were so pissed!

Haha..no worries, I won't eat you. ...the world definitely need more tough cookies like you around :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY and enjoy your spa girl.
