PMS....

Yup, the word “PMS” was what caught my interest when I opened the door to a seminar room full of participants this morning. I was shocked to hear the word “PMS” when I was in the room and was walking towards an empty seat. What went running in my head at that point of time was “Why is the speaker talking about PMS (thinking it was the Premenstrual Symptoms..) in a supposedly banking course!!!”. Well I guess this scenario of me hearing weird words happens only when my mind is elsewhere as too much energy was focused on rushing to get to the place on time. I was 10 minutes late and I blame it on the terrible crawl along federal highway (Oops, I hope my boss doesn’t read this :P)

Anyway after having found my seat, I calmed myself down and started to sink into the reading materials. Then, I found out the exact definition of PMS in today’s context, it means Profitability Measurement System. Muahahaha.

It was a very exhausting session, sitting and listening to the speaker. He has the thick Southern US accent. His complicated presentation slides were definitely a killer, it was killing me softly. Also not to forget, the problem solving/Q & A till now gives me the headache (at this moment my brain has gone to the stage of “tepu”).

Oh well, sitting and listening to him today reminded me of my past experience sitting in one of my lil sis’s microeconomics lectures while she was studying in US. I was there for a holiday and decided to try out the lectures there. I just love the warmness, openness and cuteness of the professors in US. :P Totally opposite of the economics professors I had in UK, many years ago. The professor I had was too ancient and he talks with his hands shaking and the famous Einstein hairstyle he had was more like a “bear-ing or barometer” for me. I used to tell my friends that just by looking at my professor’s hair and the way his hair goes, you can definitely detect the direction of the wind :-P

Those were the gold old days eh. If only I could turn back time. It is refreshing to look and ponder on the old, bitter sweet, good and beautiful memories. Reminiscing on my childhood and college life sometimes makes me laugh.

Oh well, I better get some sleep now as tomorrow is another day of hard work. I really need all the energy to stay wide awake for tomorrow’s topics.

Happy working y'all!

hi azer,
hahhaha you are so much better than me at least in mind you somehow had a few definitions of PMS, as for me i can only relate PMS to the normal mood swings! haha

Yeah, fortunately I was not late today..the speaker would prolly have given me that mean look if I was late for two days in a row!
