No more squids for me please…..

Time flies and before you realize it’s already Sunday night. I had an enjoyable weekend and I wish I had a longer weekend. Hehehe don’t we all wish for the same thing eh! I was in KLIA late Friday night as I had to send my lil sis and her lil one off to Japan for a month of holiday with her other half. InsyaAllah all three of them will be back for good soon. We miss the lil one so much as she has always been the “sunshine” of the house with her adorable baby talks, antics and secret missions. So I guess for now we will have to make do with only the skype and webcam in order to communicate with her everyday.

On Saturday morning, I was in KLCC with my brother and his family. We made plans earlier to watch the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (Pirates 2) and so that was what we all did that morning. I normally watch movies with friends but then I thought watching Pirates 2 with my family would definitely be so much fun. Boy, am I glad that I watched it with them as they are fun to be with and very “selamba”. My nephew, Ashraf has always been an ardent follower of the movie, so I guess it was fun watching him all thrilled to watch the second sequel. You should see him! He was sitting at the edge of the seat absorbing the story line and at the same time enjoying the awesome scenes. Well, I hope to watch the next sequel with him again It was amazing to see how matured and grown up he is, I told myself, wow, I used to play with him when he was very little and now he is already 10 and he can be my movie buddy. Gosh, I am getting old after all :P

I would say I love Pirates 2 more than the first. The second sequel is better in terms of character and storyline. Pretty hilarious too! Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom were brilliant. Oh and the sea monster which looks more like a gigantic octopus, urrgh, was very slimy and definitely disgusting. After watching the octopus and Davy Jones with his crew, I told myself, no more squids for me!!!! Yucks!!! For those of you who have watched the movie, do you think it is worth waiting for the third sequel????? As for the rest who have yet to watch it, go go go!!

Trying to figure the key

Hmm, apart from the pirates and the disgusting slimy octopus, I have always reminded myself not to blog about the Malaysian stars or celebrities because they are NOT worth my effort or time. But this particular topic just pisses me off so much. I refuse to buy newspapers that have Siti and Mawi on the frontpage! Papers are meant for quality news or knowledge not trash. But it was pretty disturbing when I saw an article written on Mawi’s “arwah” father’s outstanding hospital bills. Gosh, that was wayyyy out of the limit. It was the max for me!

Are they trying to make money on other people’s sufferings. Why can’t they just leave the guy alone for once. After all, it is his own personal problem, no one should publish it out in the open. Damn! It is between him, his family and the hospital! No one else has the right to question him. What’s with the tabloid?? The Tabloids/Papers will never fail to say what they publish is always based on facts. But this is not the issue here.

I strongly believe that we as readers should learn to choose what we really want to read. When there is a demand for crappy gossips there will always be a supply for them. They should be sensitive enough to the surroundings. So be a smart reader because eventually at the end of the day tabloids will only give you news that you as the public would want to read.

Oh well, life goes on.
