So many things have been happening in the office lately. Two of my colleagues are leaving soon for better prospects and new ones are coming in to replace them. At the same time, during that replacement transition, I am tied down with massive workload and endless datelines to meet. Sigh, I used to handle my work stress and crazy datelines quite well. But nowadays, my workload and datelines can be very suffocating. May be it is a sign for me to spread my wings and fly away where there will be plenty of room and space to breathe. :-P
Aarrgh, enough about work, there are other things to dwell upon.
Apart from workload, my eldest sis called and told me about her embarrassing moment in KL Sentral yesterday. I hope she is feeling better today.
The conversation is as follows:-
My sis : Guess what happened to me yesterday?
Me : Oh no, what happened?
My sis : I had a hard fall at KL Sentral.
Me : What? Where? The Stairs?
My sis : Not the stairs…it was just on the walking pavement. Can you believe that?
Me : Laaa, how did that happen? Was the pavement slippery? Any holes?
My sis : No, I think my heels gave way. I fell like a rolling ball. Macam buat somersault. So embarrassing!
Me : How are you doing now? Sakit tak? Anyone helped you?
My sis : No, they just looked. Sakit la jugak, I just pulled myself up and walked as fast as I could. I think that contributed to my sakitness.
Me : Take care and if it is painful, go and see the doctor.
I can imagine how my sis felt, because I had the same incident at the LRT last year. Muaahaha. All these embarrassing moments will normally hit you when you least expect it. And when it hit you, you will be left speechless. I kept asking myself, “ Oiit, What happened there”?
My share of the embarrassing experience happened early in the morning when I was eager to close the car door to head for work. As soon as my dad drove off, my heels just gave away and I fall right on my butt. I was not wearing high heels and the pavement was neither slippery nor full of holes. Oh and when I did that particular scene I was wearing a skirt. Schmucks!
Hmm, what’s with heels giving way and LRT stations? Any correlation? I bet many of us have been through some embarrassing moments ourselves at least once in a lifetime. Do you have one that you would want to share with all of us?? …

hahaha...bila jatuh tu pride hurt most ya! it happened to me infront of starbucks at amcorp mall. i just slipped and imagine one leg go far in front and the other far behind...embarrased giler, masa tu tak rasa sakit, pride beb! lepas tu baru lah rasa hehehe
better not to laugh at anyone kan.. :(, my embarrasing moment was really embrassed... tersangat sehingga tak boleh cerita...
Oke.. this happened to me sometime back when there was an interview held at the Singapore Mandarin Hotel, Orchard Rd..
I went with three frens..
when we reached our destination, my frens got out of the cab and went to the door where I was supposed to get out..I was delayed coz I was waiting for change frm the cab driver..
I took the change,I pushed the door open coz my gf was holding on to it..we both did it at the same time and the force made me fall face down in a kneeling position..
Instead of helping me get up, my frens giggled like crazy and told me..' nak mintak kerja sembah pintu hotel dulu ker'?
I got up in embarassement coz there was a long queue at the taxi stand...
make up hancus, my knees was bleeding..I felt like crying...hehehhehehe....till this day I cannot forget the day I paid my respects to The Mandarin Hotel Singapore!!
I didn't get the job too..adoiii!! sakit!!
It happened back during my uni years at Columbia Univ., kalau tak silap my junior year kot. As I was walking up the steps towards Butler Library, I saw this particular guy who I was getting to know at that time. He was waiting for me to go up and meet him at the top of the stairs. Seeing him, I just got panicked and ntah macam mana, my feet tersangkut at one of the steps. I fell flat on my face. I ended being so embarassed falling infront of that guy (btw nothing happened between us, bad karma kot!), got a black toe nail and embarassment that lasted for the next decade...malunyeee ;p
it's not how u fall but how well u rise after falling ... hehehe
many many moons ago when i was in disneyland, i took the freefall. when the freefall coach started falling i was screaming on top of my voice in exhiliration. Then i just stopped screaming, because i realised my skirt was lifted up the air for the entire world to see my panties. Hehehe i forgot i was wearing a skirt. malu arrr..
hi mama rock,
hehhe..memang bila jatuh tu mesti control cun kan, pride tak leh nak cakap lah hancus...laa buat split lah tu satu kaki depan satu belakang..mesti sakit tu..Tak pe mama rock apa apa pun, kita kena maintain cool and cun..hehehehe
nzn,
alaaa cerita la...:-P I tell you it happens to all of us as they say we are just human.
blackfeline,
yo babe, this is definitely a classic :) .. Definitely something to cherish I would say. You don't get to do these stunts everyday at Mandarin Oriental, you know. Oh Gosh, sampai luka kaki you...but I guess at the end of the day the sakit malu overrides the sakit badan...Been there done that. Eventually it is one of those things that will make you smile when you think back.
lil sis,
hehe..how come I didn't know this story?? ooohhh tak cerita kat I eh.. Hmm, rasa pernah dengar tapi I forgot who the guy was..Columbia is definitely the plce for guys yg cun...:-P Possibility of falling is always there! To engrossed in checkin gout the guys sampai tergolek golek pun boleh..heheheh
BTW a decade is such a long time :)
azer,
yup dude...the main thing is to lift yourself up gracefully as though nothing has happened! Olala
Liza,
I know what you mean, it happened to me too, the skirt terangkat..Gosh! Tak pe for you in happened overseas where you know you will never see the people again!
As for me, I hope no one remembers :-P
my friend sorang ni lagi bagus... she is gorgeous, ok... and she knew that all the guys at this particular area were looking at her. so, while she was walking past them with her sexiest stride, she fell. omygawd... those guys just suddenly looked away hehe...
aiyooo...sakit nyerr...maser skolah dulu ader gak happen to me. i was walking dgn cooly nyer towards mcdonalds the hip lepak place at that time pastuh tak perasan lubang..termasuk kaki dlm lubang spraint my foot. dan dlm mcD u dah la dinding see thru dan penuh dgn mamat acs, high school..malu wwooo...
Cookie,
oh noo!! it must have caught her by surprise and the guys looked away probably bcoz they didnt want her to feel malu and at the same time hoping that she thinks they didnt see her fall..hehe :P
Adorable,
Yikes, sakitnye especially when it involves getting yr foot in the hole. Well it happens la kan especially when you see cun guys around..hehe...I guess we just have to pull ourselves up and maintain cool je :)
Hi all,
Hmm... looking at our experiences, I guess it is normal to have those embarassing stunts..hehehe...
You Are Not Alone!
hehe.. There was this one time. Kitorg pergi shopping and we felt sooo tired, so, me and a friend, sat on the escalator while it was going down. Bila nak sampai towards the end of the escalator, dua2 kelam kabut nak bangun, with the shopping bags and all, we lost our balance. Terus terbaring kat depan escalator. The worst thing was, not only did everyone just looked and did not help, they laughed like crazy. *malu*
Hi Raz,
Hmm, you gals must have done some massive shopping session sampai penat giler..hehehe :)
I can imagine you all terbaring kat depan escalator hhehehe:P Mesti vogue!
Normally org terbaring bila kain tersangkut ke. Hmm, thanks for sharing. Psst I couldn't help but giggle...:P
