Can't believe that my lil blog has already turned 2 on the 18th of March. I can still remember how complicated I thought blogger was back then. My first try to create a Blogger account was when I was in Nagoya, Japan for the summer. I wanted to have a journal then to list down where I was, what I did and places I have been to. However, I found it pretty troublesome especially when I had to practically update my memo pad every night before I hit the sack. I found the functions pretty tough back then and later gave up on the idea of having a blog of my own. However, when I was back in KL, I tried the blogger again (this time round, I had plenty of time to play around with Blogger) and was amazed with what it did and wallaaa...I did my first entry in March, 2006 and have been blogging till today. I hope there will be many more blogging years ahead! There are times when I just feel like quitting!
I just love Fridays, especially when it is an off day for me and I so look forward to the extra long weekend. Don't we all eh?? hehehehe. Yesterday, I went to Sunway Pyramid to watch Akhirat. I don't really fancy watching movies at Sunway Pyramid coz there will always be tonnes of people hanging out there. I can't really stand crowded places....have that thing for being Claustrophobic.
My verdict for Akhirat is a SO-SO movie, I will give it an average rating. The main actors, Nabila, Adi Putra and Tony Eusoff did well. Vanida Imran did not perform anything that is extra ordinary. I find her acting pretty plain and standard but then again her character showed a lot of emotions. Akhirat is worth watching as it has a good storyline and it had a message behind it on how we as friends, sisters, mothers should always be supportive. With the proper medication, HIV carriers will have a better chance of living and it will take a longer time to have the AIDS virus. Knowledge, I believe is th essence, only then HIV carriers and their families would know what are their options and the right steps to be taken. Well, I can't say I have any experience with this important issue (Ya Allah , mintak jauhkan) but I am sure it is an undescriable feeling and it can only be told by those who have gone through it. Like the saying goes "berat mata memandang berat lagi bahu yang memikulnya". When my arwah mother was diagnosed with end stage renal failure in 2003, I could see how destroyed and disappointed" she felt. What we, the family said or do could never change how sad she felt at that point of time. But then again with the family support and love, we managed to care for her and hold her hands during those 4 years of dialysis. I felt her frustrations but yang menanggungnya lagi sakitkan . So, I guess I got the message loud and clear from the movie, AKHIRAT. Nothing beats having the support of your friends and family.
