What a coincidence eh!

In our daily lives, we are bound to bump into people we have never met before and most of them either end up being our friends or continue being strangers. Well, this story of mine till now amuses me and when I think about it and remember the details it just makes me laugh.

It all started 7 years ago, when a friend of mine wanted to introduce me to her friend’s friend (lets call him Arif*). So she started of by giving me his cell no and Arif my no. Arif called and we chatted for awhile. We talked about ourselves and mostly about work. We thought what a small world since we discovered that we were in the same industry and specializing in the same area. Oh wow, talk about what a small world it is eh. However we did not get to meet and the short-lived friendship somehow just died off. Well that happens often especially when I think I don't have chemistry with a person. But I still remember his first name and the organization he was working with. Surprisingly, we did not bump into each other when we attended seminars or courses. Normally, we are bound to meet since the area that I specialize in, there are only a handful of us.

Anyways after 7 whole years, early this year, my boss told me that a new male staff will be joining us and was I shocked to discover that the new guy sitting just behind me is the Arif I lost touch with for so many years. I was more surprised when he continued to ask me whether did I realise two years back that he was one of the interviewers when I attended an interview with the organization he was working with. Oh gosh! What a small world! He said as soon as he saw my name on the resume, he did not know what to say. What a coincidence la huh!. So unfair he must have known then how I look like as for me I was clueless about him until he became my colleague. I told him, yeah I remember the quiet interviewer! The one who did not ask me anything but just smile when I was about to leave.

So moral of the story is, the world is small, you may never know what will happen next and who will end up being your colleague. The guy who I spoke to for awhile ended up being my colleague. Scary!!! :D

*Arif, not his real name

this one i so believe, ok.. a few years back, this guy who has been bitching about me since Uni years (and since I am good friends with his ex, she mentioned that he still bitches about me) received the most dreadful surprise... he was working with an F&B company and found out that he had to manage his team at my company's event. boy... did he suck at his work (they accidentally got mixed up with another catering job) and how he had to suck up to me so that his boss wouldn't know how bad it was.

well, i didn't care less about what he thought and to me, what goes around comes around. i didn't have to write any complaint letter since the higher people decided that it would be the last time they were hired in any of our events.

if only he was nicer and more sincere, i could've been able to cover a little for him. he was screwed.

to me, one should really be careful of what they do to people. kalau colleagues je takpe... ini if the person you were mean to becomes your client, worst still, a boss. mampuih.

talking about small world, my ex-tutor in Uni will start working in my office in early September. Aiyoyo....!
Although we never have any history back then, but the thought of having somebody who knew me in the past working in the same place (worst still, if we happen to be doing the same project!) just sucks ......

beskot,
he so deserve it eh..I really hate men who loves to bitch...coz it just doesn't rhyme with them la.Hehe!

Anyways, serve him right for being mean, Tuhan tu kaya, what goes around comes around, I bet he didn't know where to put his face after that incident.

I hope it was a lesson for him NOT to be nasty towards others!

dnas,
oh my..having your ex - tutor back in yr life.Yup, can be a little bit disturbing especially when you know the person years back. But then again if he/she is nice..wouldn't be that bad eh..good luck ya.
