I was in Setiawangsa yesterday for my nephew's wedding (cousin's son). Thus far, this nephew of mine holds the family record for marrying at a very young age (referring to the family's records). He is currently either 23 or 24 and the girl is probably 19. They met when he was in Victoria Institution and she was a student in another nearby school. I am so amazed on how committed they are to tie the knot and start a life together at a very young age. I am sure it was not an easy thing because at that age, you seem to want everything in life, a career, a car, freedom etc. Hmm, this came across my mind, as I can never picture me, myself being married at 19...at that age, if I can recall was all about getting into a university and pursuing a degree. But then again, each and every one of us would want different things in life, we pursue different things as well and I guess as long as we are happy with our lives, so be it eh. Anyways, wishing the newly weds, Congratulations!!...:)

thanks for dropping by...yup, there is no specific time where a person is required to get married. It varies from one person to another..... Each and everyone of us lead a different path in life..as long as we are happy...nothing else matters eh!

good thing is when he retires, the kids will be workin instead of be in school
i married young too, but at 19 i was still terkinja2 partying all night. I got married at 23...but i think i don't know if i want my daughter to marry a that age ...double standard huh?

if i'm the bride's mom, i'll be very supportive. She's so lucky to start a family at a young age. It takes a lot of stamina to have babies and raise children. Hopefully, everything goes well for the couple. Young doesn't mean immature, right?
err ... i got married at the age of 23. if i din do that, most probably she married another guy. so ... takut melepas ... i applied the nike slogan 'Just Do It'.
i dun think there is much problem about getting married earlier ... thru my own experience laa. at the age of 26, i have 3 kids. now at the age of 43, my eldest child is 19. if by year 50 (God's will jugak la kan) i dun have a grandson ... then i will say to my son ... hey ... u gotta do better than that!

most cases women mature faster than men..but there are men who are very matured for their age and I just hope my nephew is included is that statistics!

getting married at a young age has its pros and cons..one of them I wld agree is when you get to relax earlier since the kids are all grown up when you retire :)

u know its not the first time I hear mothers not wanting their daughters to marry at an early age even after they themselves have gone through that experience. I guess you have to be wise and matured to even take the plunge.

19 tu I pun rasa I tengah tak stable..still thinking what I want in life and not easy getting myself focused. I guess at that age..we just wanted to have fun and enjoy life. But now we still enjoy and cherish life more.

yeah tell me about the stamina bit...I babysit my lil niece pun tak larat inikan pula being a mother..Not easy I would say..juggling a career and a family..It takes a lot of energy...really salute all the mothers out there! tula the recommended age for having babies is before 30.. Yikes for me...I probably need loads of help if ever I get married and have kids la kan (InsyaAllah)..hahahaha :D
