I was having tea with a friend after work today and our topic for the day was the above subject. I used to believe in the terminology of “love at first sight”, that particular point of time when you bump into or see a person for the very first time, and you subconsciously realize that deep in your heart that he or she is your soul mate, your Mr/Ms RIGHT, you feel the chemistry and you sense the sparks, the attraction and the butterflies in your stomach. You think he is the ONE!!
Well, back then when I was a teenager, I would believe that one can fall head over heels in love with someone at the very first sight. Hehe. This perception about love at first sight comes from someone who spends most of her teenage era reading Mills & Boons, Sweet Dreams, Sweet Valley High… etc. But now if you were to ask me again the same question, my answer would be NO, I don’t believe in love at first sight. It could be an infatuation or a crush but not love.
Love for me, only develops when you know a person’s character, personality, traits and attitude. Love grows through time, it doesn’t happen there and then. Love is not about having the hots or infatuation for someone. It grows and it develops naturally, you can't force to make it happen. I could be wrong here but that’s how I feel about love at first sight! What about you, do you believe in love at first sight?? Have you gone through the phase where you just know you love that person as soon as you first laid your eyes on him or her?

I don't think love at first sight applies to me (although, I sometimes wish it would happen somehow hikhikhiks..)
Through personal experience, I think love & matters of the hearts need a bit of time to develop, and I know I have to to be comfortable being with that someone.
But you.. lust at first sight, now that's a different thing.

it was love at first sight ... saw her standing there ... 2 weeks later we got married ... gonna be 20 years now with 5 kids :D
problem with love at first sight to me is that ... i never get to know how is it having a girlfren bcos i straightly have a wife.

it's definitely crush for me! so whenever it is too fast, definitely i know i'll get bored soon. so susah sikit nak love at first sight ni for me.
Love at first sight only applies when you go shopping and you see something nice on the shelf that you feel you really need to have it..hehehe, now that is love at first sight! But if between two people, it must be infatuation coz to be able to feel love, you have to get to know the person inside out and this doesn't happen in split second.

when it comes to matters of the heart, each and everyone of us would probably experience it differently. Hmmmnnn, love doesn't develop in a split second. If we think we are in love when we first lay eyes on a person then again it might take seconds for us to just fall out of love with that same person:P Oh well, it is better to fall out of love rather than not going through it all.

You are definitely one of those lucky ones who found a soul mate just like that...:) I know a few friends who somehow or rather found their other half so senang...macam jatuh dari langit kind of thing. Well, some people are just lucky!
mama, yeahlah..mana boleh fall in love just by looking at a person physicallykan. It might happen for others but mebbe for me susahla. I believe in having a crush too..it wld probably last for a few weeks till I get my head sorted out..hahhaha..tu la it is called a crush..coz it ends up crushing you hard..:D

hey gurl, yeah lust at first sight makes more sense than love at first sight. Well that phrase "when it happens it hits you unexpectedly" is something I have been hearing quiet frequently from my friends. Yup, when the time is right, the place is right and the guy is right, that is when it hits you hard and unexpectedly. Interesting eh!

Hmmm.. i had a crush when i was a kiddo, at the age of 8 with a cousin of mine. We used to hang out together, went to the library and so on. We even shared the same ice cream tau!
Well, he'd still have that crush on me till now, eventhough he's married with a kid!

Another story... i met this guy for the first time and we fall in love immediately.
But it didn't last that long.. too bad... we had to let it go..

hehehe...guess what? It takes me a pretty long time to get over an infatuation. Horrorkan..Hehehe..Well life is wonderful and tough, all in one. I wouldnt trade it for anything else. I love to experience all the crushes, infatuations and hopefully true love that would lead to me finding my other half!:)
Love at first sight? It only happens in the movies.. (and books..) and hmm.. only if you're really 1000x lucky, I guess.

The first time I looked at that person,my tought was:"Hmm..okay, he's cute..SO WHAT?"
The second time around, however, when I chatted with that same person and got to know more about him and observed his personality, my mind went: "Hey, this guy's not bad at all.." And suddenly there's a "PING!!" sound in my head and in a flash, I was in love;-)
But then again, that was an old story...
