My flip nokia phone has decided to go crazy on me for the past couple of weeks. The radio function went auto on for weeks and as a result whenever I made calls or receive calls, I can never hear the other party. Pretty frustrating don't you think after only a year and when the guarantee has expired. Even the phone knows when to go craaaazy and torture me!!
I visited Doctor Mobile for some assistance when it went sick but then it was just a waste of time, they could not do anything about it. The guy told me that my phone "sudah kena air" and there is no replacement for the damaged parts. Damn! So for the past few weeks, I had to SOS my SIL and lucky enough, she had a spare phone. Thank you Kak Ani...I owe you one!
Anyway, for days, I have been contemplating on what model I should go for and whether it is gonna be a flip phone again?! Decided to just check the phones out today and taadaaaa, I came back with a new phone, Nokia 5300 .....
I really hope this one will last at least more than a year ...coz I dont think I can afford to change too often. My pockets will end up having many holes in it :P Ohh and one thing I realised is the chemistry I have for Nokia phones...:)

nokia phones are undeniably the best in the market. nothing la can beat its credibility and experience in technology.
my A1700 moto baru pakai what 3 months dah kena upgrade software in order for the sms to come in. serious man... nokia tak payah nak upgrade software and it works just fine. i've been using my old 6210i back which is one year old. after i've done repairing the moto and finish paying the 0% 12 months instalment, i'm gonna either stick back to nokia and get the N73 or i'll get my hands on the new treo cos i really love the palm organiser.

i like nokia too but now i'm into smartphones :)

i'm still setia with my 7 series model. Thinking of changing to a new one later, prolly at the 2Q of 07'

my brother just asked me this morning why i didnt get myself a sony ericsson phone. I told him I found Nokia to be very user friendly as compared to sony ericson...but then again I could be wrong...mebbe you can tell us why you prefer sony to nokia :)

wah...you so setia la..after 2 years, the phone must be a good quality one. Yeah I like this model as it has a huge screen and very nice to hold.

that must be so frustrating for you,since it gave you problems after 3 mths. I have seen the A1700 model, very slim and sleek. I tried motorola once but just didnt have the chemistry for it. Nokia models are so far my favourite, very smooth and friendly.
Thanks, you are so right. The new phone is something like a year end bonus gift to me, myself for working my ass off for 2006. It was surely one tough year for me :P

p/s: I'm into nokia too, altho i envy those with the razr.
i'm still using my trusty 8310. it's been... 4 years already. he he he... it serves the general usage; calls and sms.
anyway, i have one eye on SE's z610i... soon... soon...

I didnt know the model I bought tu existed pun, I was eyeing for another model and entah macam mana when I saw this model..I fall in love with it instantly..:)

that nokia 8310 model is awesome..very reliable and light weight..Yup you are right, the main objective is to call and sms.
tak tau la nak kata macam mana, but i found it much simpler to use. tapi mobile tech is moving too fast, so it's hard to say. but 1 thing for sure, u can get the same functions and stuffs but cheaper with sony.
