Feeling it....lovely memories of Jakarta

Our flight from Jakarta was delayed for an hour and a half today. Ohh and now I am back at home, trying my best to pen something I feel strongly about the trip, which is the new bond I seem to see between us and our Jakarta family.

When I was in Jakarta, I was given the opportunity to spend some wonderful and quality time with my dad's relatives i.e granduncles, uncles, aunties, cousins and so forth. What I discovered is, I love being around them!!!. I can feel all the sincerity, honesty, openness, serenity, calmness, warmness and caring traits in all of them. I am so glad I gave myself the chance to get to know them. Such wonderful people, I do hope I can visit all of them again soon...InsyaAllah.

My only regret is for not spending time with them before this. Silly me!. Well, to the neneks and pak's (well I am sure you wont be reading my blog!!..hehehe) thank you for letting us share your warmness and welcoming us into your beautiful homes :) I really felt at home...Terima Kasih semua :)

The nasi padang we had on the first day itself ....sedapppnyee...

Lovely view of the museum..the nenek (we refer to the granduncles) was speechless when he found out that all of us were more interested in shopping rather than the museum..hehehe!

Me and my sisters, lil nephew (well liked by the ceweks in Jakarta...they like to pinch his cheeks..) and lil Sophie:P

Again we had nasi padang on the second day...:P

The biggest mosque in Indonesia

The view from my hotel room

The bad traffic jam heading towards Bogor...

Me and my favourite lil Romeo in Jakarta

Came back to the hotel room and was surprised to see a cake on the coffee table on Christmas eve :)

Id,
Yes it was a very memorable journey for all of us. Before this they were just relatives from Jakarta, some long distant relatives and we didnt really bother much. So I guess that is why my dad wanted all of us to go to Jakarta to get to know them...so after spending three hectic days with them..I miss them already. Hopefully we will meet up with them again reallly soon! They are close to my heart :)

merapuman,
U know I had martha thilar spa played in my mind went I was on the way to Jakarta, but then after the surprise visit of the relatives at the airport, my objectives just went berserk..We went to Bogor for shopping, loads of leather produced handbags, shoes etc. We went visiting to all the relatives' houses and shop at the Mangga 2 and ITC Cempaka Emas. The nearest I got to a spa was just looking at the Novetel Spa brochure while in the hotel room..:)But no regrets..I can go to the spas anytime here in KL..hanging out with them was even better!
Hi Angel,

You,the musem looks so appealing at first tho..But then thinking abt the little time we have, so we had to prioritise..hence shopping is the main agenda!!!!haha..
Yeah if yo uare into nice kains and kebayas...they have beautiful ones..and very cheap too. We actually borong like crazy when we went to Tanah Abang...Lovely!! I got myself kebayas which will be for my baju raya next year...Best giles....They wanted to drive us to Bandung...but we declined as we were concentrating on Jakarta, may be Bandung will be our next mission!

Spa tak pergi la babe. Change of plans. Tak sempat!

Hi Raz,

Memang ada relatives in Jakarta but we never took it seriously pun, my dad is the one yang rajin keep in touch and call them kalau raya and all. Well kiranya we did some re-bonding la dgn diaorg and also did some checking on our family tree. Found out interesting info ..:)

They were sooo nice, pick us up at the airport when we told them we will take the taxi. Will not take no for an answer when we said it's Ok we will find our way..And having uncles who were there to make sure that the things you wanted to bawak balik are all being accomplished. I wanted to get a few CDs (one in particular was the Samsons) but never had the time, one cool uncle (pangkat uncle but younger than me by a few years) bought me the one and only CD I wanted at the very last minute without me knowing ( I was surprised! cool la).

Psst, I hope you like the kebaya material Nurul chose..:)
