Last night, I joined my colleagues for a Christmas get together at my boss’s place in PJ. Yikkeees, this time round I decided to join in the fun after declining his many invitations for the past few years. Yup, am guilty as charged. So this year I decided to accept and just go. I had no qualms about the food prepared as it was catered from a Malay Restaurant. Ohh apart from the good food is the light entertainment they provided, kids performing the Christmas carols.
Hmm, even though I don’t celebrate Christmas it does not mean that I don’t appreciate the decorations they put up in their homes. I also love the decorations they have in the shopping malls and the lovely street decorations. My sis told me the decorations they have along Orchard Road really caught her eyes.
I will always have fond memories of the Christmas decorations in Los Angeles. During my younger days when we were holidaying in LA sometime in December, my family and I even took the trouble to drive around the neighbourhood to check out the houses with the most beautiful decorations. The homes were decorated in such a way that you can only remember yourself being in a fantasy or wonder land with those cute houses and beautiful man made things such as a big ginger bread boy with lights and the Hensel and Gretel kind of sugar cottage homes.
The more interesting homes are the ones with colourful lights decorated to outline the shape of the homes at night and the huge man made Santa Claus on a sleigh accompanied by reindeers.
Lastly, I hope it is not too early to wish all my friends...... Merry Christmas!
