Father's Day Celebration....

Since Father’s Day falls on June 18th (or 11th), I guess we have about a week and a half before THE actual day comes. Urrgh, I have ran out of ideas on what to get for my dad this time round. For the past few years, my siblings and I would get him things that we know would come in handy ie belt, wallets, shirts, lunch/dinner buffet treat but most of the time it would be a family gathering with "makan-makan" and a cake. Nowadays, we rarely go for buffets since my dad does not eat that much not like his kids..Muuuahahha. He is such a small eater that buffets just do not appeal to him at all. Year in, year out, it is the same old thing. Most of his birthdays, he would be swamped with either shirts or wallets. My dad is a little bit fussy when it come to t-shirts or casual shirts as he prefers to have them with pockets. So the ones without pockets will end up sitting in his closet for a very long time ;D

So I decided to list the gifts that I thought would be suitable for our beloved fathers. As a token of appreciation for the sacrifices they have made all through the years to ensure that we are here “alive and kicking”.

Hmmm, lets see, what you can consider getting for your DAD in anticipation of the Father’s Day Celebration;
1. Movie treat
2. Lunch/dinner buffet (Bring him to a restaurant that serves his favourite food and not yours. Hehehe)
3. Fragrance/Toiletry set
4. Accessories- shoes, wallets, belts, cufflinks, ties
5. Golf accessories – sunglasses, a watch, T-shirts, gloves etc
6. Gadgets – digital camera, hand phones, ipod, palm pilot etc
7. Gift vouchers from Parkson, Metrojaya, IKEA etc (when you really don’t know what he really fancies)
8. Reading materials (books or magazines)
9. A classic pen
10. A return ticket to a holiday resort (This would cost a bomb but worth all the effort)
11. An extra or new ASTRO decoder for the World Cup ;D
12. Munchies/Chocolates
13. Flowers
14. Treat to the theatre or orchestra

I am sure I only covered a few potential gifts here. Any more ideas people?

i am a dad myself..hehehe...and to six children..so if each one get me a present...byk jugak tu!

I 'd rather received something not bought from a shop shelves but a gift created and made by my son/daughter.

To buy is easy...
To make a gift for dad shows caring....sacrifices...personal touches...

one idea:
buatla scrap book for him...of ur poems, of ur thoughts...of his pictures...of paper cuttings with him inside...of anything which will make he smiles endlessly..
