Feeling it....lovely memories of Jakarta
When I was in Jakarta, I was given the opportunity to spend some wonderful and quality time with my dad's relatives i.e granduncles, uncles, aunties, cousins and so forth. What I discovered is, I love being around them!!!. I can feel all the sincerity, honesty, openness, serenity, calmness, warmness and caring traits in all of them. I am so glad I gave myself the chance to get to know them. Such wonderful people, I do hope I can visit all of them again soon...InsyaAllah.
The nasi padang we had on the first day itself ....sedapppnyee...
Lovely view of the museum..the nenek (we refer to the granduncles) was speechless when he found out that all of us were more interested in shopping rather than the museum..hehehe!
Me and my sisters, lil nephew (well liked by the ceweks in Jakarta...they like to pinch his cheeks..) and lil Sophie:P
Again we had nasi padang on the second day...:P
The biggest mosque in Indonesia
The view from my hotel room
The bad traffic jam heading towards Bogor...
Me and my favourite lil Romeo in Jakarta
Came back to the hotel room and was surprised to see a cake on the coffee table on Christmas eve :)

Busy weekend
The lunch invitation we had on Saturday was from my aunt who lives in Bangsar. She wanted all of us to have a get together session with my aunts and uncles from Singapore. The last time they met was like a year ago. The food they prepared were the original traditional dishes from Singapore, they had dishes like nasi rawan with begedel, acar nenas, kerabu timun, ikan terebuk bakar, tiger prawns cooked in chilli paste, “rempah” fried chicken and so forth. Although food was splendid but somehow I felt uncomfortable at my aunt’s place. Honestly, I never feel at ease being there as both my uncle and aunt are so into table manners/etiquettes. As for me, I believe in simplicity, dread the high and mighty air and having to behave all the time. It sucks the happy feeling out of me. Hehehe :P
After lunch in Bangsar, we headed towards my brother's place in Taman Melawati for a birthday bash. We were celebrating the birthday of the December babies. As usual I was in charge of the party packs and games. I had a wonderful time playing with the kids. Last year we had 2 games and the kids did not want to leave, thus this year we increased them to 4 games but still the kids did not want to leave as well. So the moral of the story I was telling my brother is no matter how many games you have, kids will never want to leave. How’s that? Muahaha :P
A kid trying to pin the tail to the horse...opps I hope it is not too far away!
The grand occasion was the wedding on Sunday. The theme colour was hunter green and the nikah ceremony portrayed an emotional scene for the groom’s family as both parents cried when the nikah was officially solemnized. It was probably tears of joy for the whole family. My cousin, the bride was smiling the whole day, she was the happiest girl on earth I would say. I was on my feet (uurgh!) for the whole three hours as the “berkat” person. Giving out little gifts for the stream of people who came to celebrate the special occassion. Oh another thing that got me all disappointed while handing those gifts is the lack of manners of the people who came by. Noticed as I handed them the gifts, 1 out 10 people would smile and say thank you, the rest would just accept without acknowledging. Gosh, I thought the KL-ians are capable of that. Sad eh ! A simple smile and a terima kasih doesn’t take much out of a person right?? What is wrong with having a little bit of warmness for one another, after all we are supposed to be the friendly Malaysians!
The lovely couple!
I have a few days left before I head for Jakarta for the Christmas holiday. YEEHAA!!!

Is it just me?
Ever since I upgraded my blog to the beta version, I have been getting negative feedbacks from my friends/bloggers on how difficult it is for them to leave comments. A fellow blogger, blackfeline said when she signs in to leave comments on my blog, a message will tell her that her password is incorrect. This I guess happens when the person is still registered under the old blogger version and planning to leave a comment on a beta version. I did some testing and realized that there are two other options if you do plan to leave comments in beta version blogs. What I have discovered are as follows:-
Sign in as others
Choose your nick as name and paste your URL on the web address
OR
Sign in as anonymous
Signoff your nickname/url manually at the bottom of your comment.
I hope Blogger is well aware about this issue ( I hope so!!) and that they are in the midst of rectifying this ASAP. I wonder whether I am the only one facing this problem. Anyone else??.

I cried buckets…..

I fell in love with the CINTA movie instantly!!! The movie is just sweet and lovely. The storyline is simple yet very meaningful. It not only made me laugh my lungs out, it also made me smile, frown and most importantly, it made me cry buckets. I remember watching an interview on “Wanita Hari Ini, TV3 on the second day of Raya with the main cast. Rahim Razali said something that I totally agree especially after watching the movie. He said about how each and every one of us would be able to relate to at least one of the five interrelated stories. Ohh in my case, I can sooo relate to most of the stories. I could relate from the perspective of being a grand daughter, elder sis, a woman, a friend etc.
The characters of Amin, Ruby (Fatimah Abu Bakar) and Cikgu Elyas (Rahim Razali) really touched my heart. I am sure me and the rest of the viewers could relate to the story of Cikgu Elyas especially when it involves a sick grandfather. Cikgu Elyas has Alzheimers and his grandson (Amin) was advised by the doctor to send his grand dad to a special home as his illness needs special supervision. I cried because he reminds me of my late grand father.
The story of Harris (Rashidi Ishak) and Airin (Rita Rudani) also made me cringe. Imagine someone, you have always love ever since you were 18 and have a beautiful daughter with, returns back from work one day and tells you that she met another guy. She doesn’t love you the way she loves the other guy. She loves you like a friend or brother. Believe me this happens, in fact it happened to my close friend years ago. I saw how it crushed her. I could feel Harris’s disappointment and hurt.
Another story I can’t forget is the relationship between a devoted sister, Dyan (Nanu) and her rebellious brother, Dhani(Que Haidar). The sacrifices one makes for the other and how one can be a strong career woman but when it comes to love and emotions, one just settles for less.
The two other stories were good as well. Go watch the movie!
I believe all of us have CINTA in us. CINTA towards our other half, friends, parents, siblings, grandparents, and the list goes on and on. What matters is we should always believe in CINTA as CINTA is God’s gift to all of us.
My favourite was when Cikgu Elyas said these words- Isteri itu bukan hak milik suami tetapi ISTERI itu ANUGERAH Tuhan.
My weekend was definitely filled with CINTA… :)
Take care folks!

Oxygen please....

So folks, I guess the moral of the story is never leave home without your Rexona, Speed Stick, Perfumes, Deodorants.....etc. Believe me, BODY ODOUR can really kill someone! Muuahaha :P
Have a wonderful weekend people.

A quiet one..
Our mission on that crazy Friday night was to watch Casino Royale at KLCC. We had to drive in circles until we decided to just park the car in Ampang Park and take the LRT to KLCC. But then again luck was not on our side when tickets for the BOND movie were sold out. Yayaya…some people just keep running out of luck eh. We opted for the movie Déjàvu instead. Hehe…and honestly, it was a good choice because I discovered later that Denzel Washington was the main guy…yippie!

I had no expectations of the Déjà vu movie as I was clueless on the story line as well as the actors. Only found out about Denzel Washington when my friend told me a few minutes before the movie started…..Muuahaha :D. Apart from the impressive and beautiful acting skills from Washington, I found the movie to be a little bit unrealistic. I just couldn’t see the importance of the time travel theory in a murder/bombing situation and the meddling with the past. Although the movie agrees to the theory of Science and Physics that we can actually send a message or note to the past. It also believes that we can actually travel to the past and change things. Nonetheless, I still think it was too much to comprehend in a 2 hour movie. So for you guys and gals who are into action pack thriller, science, physics and time travel, go watch the movie!
My next movie hopefully will be CINTA, it is a Malay movie with 5 interrelated stories. My friends can’t seem to stop promoting the movie. Hmm, I do hope it is worth the money or I will end up strangling someone.…hehe!
So I guess for the next few days, me, myself and I will be busy catching up on movies and reading. Oh talk about reading, Kinokuniya is having their bargain deals again (where you buy a second book on top of their selected range of books for a 20percent discount). I grabbed the opportunity and bought a book by Sean Thomas. The book entitled, "Millions of Women are waiting to Meet You" tells the poignant, hilarious and intriguing story of Sean Thomas himself when he was asked to venture into internet dating. Reading the first few chapters was definitely enjoyable and I can’t wait to complete the whole book. Here is to a great week ahead. For those of you who are still on holiday, Happy Hols!
