Should I bother??....the conclusion

The four walls must have ears or Miss C could have read my blog!! Hahah! Well I am sure she did not as no one in the Department knows that I have a blog. Schmucks. Anyway, yesterday as I was on my way out of the “ladies”, guess who I bumped into? Well, it was Miss C. As soon as she saw me, she pulled me to the side and said a few words. The conversation we had was as follows.......

Ms C: Hi, just to let you know I will be on leave tomorrow for the wedding. Ooh
and I can’t invite you as it is done outstation and I don’t think you all can come.
(She is assuming that I would not go the extra mile for her wedding reception)

Me : It’s okay. (What can I say as I respected her decision, as it is her wedding
and she has the right to her list of invitations)

Ms C : By the way, I invited the boss. But he is not able to attend and I did not
invite our juniors.

Me : Okay.

Wishing her a wonderful special day today and Miss C, Congratulations to you and your hubby!

Should I bother??

My colleague, Miss C will be getting married end of this week. I have been her colleague for almost 5 years. She personally informed me of her plans to take her marriage leave for the wedding as well as for the final preparations. Reason is I guess is to prepare me mentally to cover her job functions. I don’t mind because here in this department we work as a team. When one is down the other would cover up.

But what surprises me is that she will be going off tomorrow onwards for the marriage leave and we, the colleagues have yet to receive any wedding invitation cards from her. I dunno maybe the boss is the only selected ONE?? I am not sure whether should I get her a wedding gift?? I know that apart from me, my other colleagues are a little bit upset and we are still wondering why she is keeping things so quiet. She remains silent as though nothing big is gonna happen but I am pretty sure, she is having a grand reception. May be she has her reasons as it is her wedding after all. Well, we all know that wedding receptions are very expensive and only selected people are invited for the wedding dinner. A few of my friends told me not to bother as she doesn’t even appreciate her officemates to give them the chance to share her special day. They say until she makes it official, do not bother. Should I even bother and get her a wedding gift?

Busy as a bee….

I had a fulfilling weekend! The longer my weekend is the tougher it is for me to face Mondays. My normal mornings would consist of me lazing around for additional minutes after the alarm clock goes off and me asking myself, do I need to go to work today??? That is when my 'things to do list' sets in and I have no choice but to get my butt out of bed. Damn, this happens every morning.

Saturday morning is my favorite time of the week where I get to accompany my sis and her little one to her tumble tots session. So last Saturday, I had fun with the kids and was even contemplating on joining the center as a part time assistant :D Sanggup! Unfortunately they only have openings for weekdays and not weekends. My sis’s little one is only 14 months, but she likes to dance, giggle, run and scream. So I guess it was a good thing that my sis decided to send her to the tumble tots sessions. My sis will normally dress her up in the uniform with a little knapsack hung at her back. You should see her, it is as though she is marching to school. She gets all excited when she sees all her little friends running around. I just love to be around children as they always have something cute to say or do. Their antics will definitely make me laugh my lungs out. Nothing beats spending my mornings with happy kids. Food for the soul!

After tumble tots, we checked out Celebrity Fitness, which was also located on the same floor. I like the concept of the fitness gym, the aerobics instructors are from Brazil. They provide all types of classes i.e the body combat, kickboxing, steps, yoga, pilates etc with attractive Shower/Sauna/Steam rooms. Looking at the Celebrity Fitness and its concept, I would surely recommend it to my friends.

As for breakfast, we decided to have an all sisters breakfast at “Village Park Restaurant” in Uptown. This particular restaurant was featured in Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan with Daniel, the winner of last year’s American Idol. A friend of mine introduced it to me many years ago and till now I keep coming back for more. Well, I was already craving for their toasted kaya bread, half boiled eggs and the air kopi dinosaur so as soon as I got there I didn’t waste my time and went with the food attack!
****************************************************************
On Sunday, I went back kampung to visit my aunt for a while. She looks very much better and stronger. She no longer has that frail and weak look. But she can’t walk without the “walker” just yet. I am sure after a little bit more of exercising she will be back walking and running. Before she had a severe heart attack, she single handedly attended to her toddler grandson and how old is she, 68??!! Hopefully after what she has gone through, her children should let her rest and enjoy her precious life.

Oh and all those talk of dim sum, made me all hungry and I went marching to the Chi Dim Sum Café in Giant with my family. I had the wantan soup, mushroom dumplings, prawn dumplings and the sesame balls. That will cover my dim sum craving for a month or so. Hopefully!

Talking about food, I better get going or there goes my nasi lemak for today...Happy working people!

The HOT spots...

My morning ritual would not be complete without the daily newspapers. Thus that explains why I was distracted with some info on good food. The Sun paper had an article on a survey initiated by KL Lifestyle magazine sometime in August 2005. It was done in conjunction with their second anniversary. It involved the magazine readers and the readers were asked to vote their favourite restaurants in several categories. The readers had three months to vote via sms and KL lifestyle magazine was supposed to collate the votes and come up with the list. So there I was scrutinizing the list……
Favourite Chinese Restaurant - Chynna Hilton KL
Favourite IndoChinese/Thai restaurant – Tamarind Springs
Favourite Seafood restaurant – Unique Seafood
Favourite Mediterranean/Italian restaurant – Bologna, Istana Hotel KL
Favourite Fusion restaurant – Etoile Bistro, Equatorial Hotel KL
Favourite Steakhouse- The Ship
Favourite Japanese restaurant- Kampachi, Equatorial Hotel
Favourite Nyonya restaurant – Ah Tuan Ee, Berjaya Times
(Source: the Sun dd 26 May '06)

Looking at the list, most of the restaurants are located in hotels. I can imagine the price list. It could lead to permanent damage to my wallet. Hehe! I wish they had the list of best spots/restaurants for dim sum lovers. I just love dim sum, currently my favourite spot for dim sum is located at the Giant Hypermarket in Kelana Jaya.

Alabama must be proud of Hicks....

Taylor Hicks, the new American Idol

Finally, we have a winner for the American Idol, 2006 (Fifth Season)! It was a very close match between the two finalist, the gray-haired soul singer, Taylor Hicks and the gorgeous musical theatre performer, Katherine McPhee. Honestly, I really thought McPhee would have won as she had the right “package”. Package here means beauty with the superb vocals. However the viewers have chosen the charismatic Hicks known amongst his fans as the “Soul Patrol”. All in all, there were more than 63 million votes that came in via phone and text messages. This shows how successful the fifth season was. Personally, I think the fifth season is the highlight of all the other seasons so far. I hope next year will be another successful year.

Oopps, I can’t say much about our “Akademi Fantasia” or Malaysian Idol though.

So uncalled for...

Something amusing happened yesterday while I was in a lift on the way down to the office lobby with my colleagues. I was pretty surprised to note how some people can easily assume things. Anyway, this is the scenario…

Friend A : Looking at me and said, Hello, going home?

Myself : Yes, you too??

Friend A : I have to rush, my mom is not feeling well and have to pick up my daughter from the nursery, urghhh, so many things to do in a day!

Myself : Oooohh, your mom is not well??

Friend A : Well, this is what you have to face when you have a family of your own, everyday is a hectic day. How I wish I am single. (Still looking at me, hinting on how lucky I am for being single)

Myself : ***Smiling*** Be it single or not, all of us have our share of problems. Before I could actually complete my sentence, Friend B had to interrupt…..)

Friend B : No way I would want to be SINGLE, then what??? Go home and stare at the four walls, such a boring life! (BTW Friend B is also married with kids)

Suddenly, the doors opened and I was already on my way out. Pheew, that was so uncalled for.

Hmmm, I definitely think Friend B went overboard. I totally agree that when one is married with kids, one is obviously tied down with many responsibilities and commitments. It is tiring to attend to the growing kids as well as the aged parents. But people should not generalize and judge others based on their status i.e single or married. People are so good at judging. It is always in their mind that the singles are always commitment free and they lead such a boring life! Hmm, has it ever occurred to them, that we lead our lives the way we want to and I believe many of us don’t go home and stare at four walls! ;D Wonder where she got the idea from?? Maybe she was staring at the four walls when she was single. Believe me there are other better things to do than staring at the four bloody walls. Being single, just like being married, has its ups and downs. No one has the right to judge.

Monday Blues...

I found this interesting piece in my email inbox. Thought it would be useful especially on a Monday morning. Here goes......

QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION ON HEALTH ISSUES

Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this
true?

A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't
waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up
your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can
extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer?
Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?

A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an
efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain?
Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy
vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily
allowance of vegetable products.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine,
that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even
more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms
up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?

A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one.
If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular
exercise program?

A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good !

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?

A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!! ... Foods are fried these days in vegetable
oil.
In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be
bad for you?

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the
middle?

A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You
should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?

A: Are you crazy? HELLO Cocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It's the best
feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?

A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?

A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape!

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had
about food and diets.

And remember:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other -
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, What a
Ride"

Louvre and breaking codes...

I did not expect to get tickets for the Da Vinci Code movie yesterday. Booking through the tele-booking was impossible as all seats were taken up since morning. However after work, determined to watch the movie, I decided to just try my luck at the TGV counter and wallaa...got two tickets!
My friends who had read the book, was disappointed with the Da Vinci Code movie. Yup, it was the same for me when I watched "Memoirs of a Geisha" last year. I was so disappointed! Since I read the Arthur Golden's masterpiece twice, I was expecting something so much more than the simple plot in the movie. Well, can't expect the producers to squeeze all those juicy stuff in the book into a 2 hour movie right? However, they did quite well with the movie set up and props. I remember the breathtaking sceneries of Sayuri with the cherry blossoms and the hot springs. Hmm, you can never get the best of both worlds, it's either you win some here or you lose some there.
I learned my lesson from the first round, so this time, I had no expectations what so ever as I plan to skip reading the book all together (reason is, I'm just lazy ;D) and just go straight to the movies. The movie duration was more than 2 hours and I loved the movie. I thought Tom Hanks was OK! The set up of the movie were done mainly in Paris and England. I also read in the papers today, that the scenes you see in the Louvre were actually done in real. It was done in the Louvre itself, no man made settings. Gosh, those car chasing scenes brought me down memory lane. One can never forget the exquisite museum and art gallery, Louvre and the refine Paris architecture. After watching the movie, I was sure then that I need to get the book as I am still not done with Da Vinci Code ;D

TGIF...

Thank God it’s FRIDAY. I normally commute via the LRT train to work. However, recently, I have noticed the BIG crowd. It gets bigger by the day, especially in the mornings. I would be lucky if I can get a seat. Not getting a seat is normal these days, but having almost all trains packed like sardine cans is bad. I guess I have to get used to having the tiny winy spot right in front of the door… This is hard work you know squeezing myself in that spot when I am not tiny myself. Haha! Believe me, I have mastered various skills while LRT-ing, skills like sleeping while standing, balancing myself without holding anything. May be I should consider a change of career path, like joining the circus with the balancing act. ;D I am pretty sure that every time there is a hike in oil price, the crowd gets bigger. I can never understand the local transportation scene in Malaysia. Oh well, I hope it improves. I am just tired of complaining as it sucks all the energy out of me.

I hope to visit my aunt at my arwah nenek’s house in Ulu Langat tomorrow. She is currently recuperating from a severe heart attack and pneumonia she had last month. The after effect of the heart attack is pretty bad. She is very weak, not able to walk or even talk much. My other aunt is there to take care of her as for her children?? Hmm, I have nothing much to say, in fact I am speechless. It is sad to note that she has four children who are all very grown up, married with kids and none of them are there for her every single night to ensure she gets the tender love and care she desperately needs. They are happy to pass their responsibilities to an aunt and probably just come over and help during weekends or on public holidays. I wonder, where is their sense of responsibility, love or conscience??? To think of it, they are mothers and fathers themselves, how would they not know the need to be with their sick parent. Well I am not perfect either, but I surely know that when I am sick, I would not want to be alone. In fact when both my parents were sick and warded, I remembered how depressed my parents were and how we siblings had to pull it through together no matter how difficult it was. So, I can understand if my aunt needs all the attention she can get.

Hmm, I have seen scenarios like this in movies but seeing it from my cousins, definitely very disappointing. Like they say, a mother can endure life and raise her many kids, but for the kids to take care of one mother, it might be difficult.

Alamanda experience…

Gosh, my life has been rather hectic ever since the last long weekend. As expected, I was asked to attend a few meetings with the French consultants in our training center in Bangi. Oh boy, at the rate that I’m going now, I won’t be surprised if my knowledge in French would improve so much more as compared to my system knowledge. Hahahaha! The meetings lasted for days, now I am finally back at the office for more work… Schmucks! I am mentally drained after sitting in for the non-stop discussions and presentations. Help!! All I can think of at the moment is to ensure my trip to Singapore next month will be a smooth sailing one. Read about the fantastic “sale” which is on going in Singapore right now. Yeesss, I am coming, I am so in need of a vacation!!

Ohh by the way, I had a little adventure while I was having my meetings in Bangi, it was the Alamanda adventure. :) All work and no play makes Nour a dull person eh? Since Bangi is about 10 minutes drive to Putrajaya, my friends and I, decided to have lunch in Alamanda for a change. “Me” really like the Alamanda shopping mall. Hehhe, I am sure everyone else has been to Alamanda at least once. See how ancient I can be ;D I am so used to KLCC that I tend to forget about all the other shopping malls. Anyway, Alamanda has a very nice lay out and the environment is pretty laid back. Since I was there on a working day, the crowd was lesser than normal. Hmmm, may be I should check it out again during the weekend.

Apart from the little adventure and meetings, my lil sis is back with her precious one from Japan. She is known to be the “ santa claus” of the family since she never fails to bring us gifts whenever she goes for a holiday. The stuffs she got me are really nice, I got a casual handbag, sweet looking earrings and Japanese stationeries. We managed to replenish our junk food stock at home with more Japanese rice crackers, biscuits, pop corns in caramel and chocolates. Not to forget the green tea...hopefully it helps me stay healthy.

Oh well, I better get back to work now. Have a great week you all!

Going beyond the "Friends-Zone"??

What happens when you really like someone, you sense there is "sparks" or what we call chemistry between the two of you, you just love to hang out together most of the time, you can confide in each other easily, BUT unfortunately this thing you have with him just does not seem to move beyond the “friends-zone”. Nothing seems to be developing as much as you want it to?? What would you DO??

1. Do you tell him how you feel? It could be one-sided? Face the embarrassment?
2. Do you wait until he says something, or ask a third party for assistance?
3. Do you give yourself a time frame, if nothing happens, just move on and forget about everything?
4. Do you continue to be friends? Hoping that ONE day, he will change his mind and realise how much he likes/loves you?

Well, ever since I had that chat with a close friend of mine yesterday via YM, I can’t seem to get the above issue out of my head. I worry for her as I don't want her to hang on to this issue far too long. She practically shoved me with the questions above as she could not take it anymore. May be, she is at the verge of giving up. I would feel the same way if I was her. I can imagine how she feels, it is something she has been holding on to for the past two years, hoping that things would be better. Wow, to think of it, that is darn long eh, love can be powerful! Gosh, time really flies. I guess she wants to move on BUT at the same time she can’t stand the thought of loosing him as a friend. Well, it is never easy when it involves matters of the heart. The heart will tend to override the brains.

She met the guy when both of them were recruited in the same media company. They clicked pretty well and became close friends, it did not take her long to develop feelings for him. Obviously, since he is a nice guy! I remember bumping into them in IKEA, a couple of occasions. I really thought they were dating. How can he not know, she likes him?? She told me, she tried hinting to him many times, it was never fruitful.

I don’t know, I have always believe that if he really likes her, he would not be wasting time and be honest with her. In my opinion, she should tell him how she really feels, if he doesn’t feel the same way, then move on. Life is too short and precious to be wasting on uncertainties. I might be wrong, I don’t know, well that is how I see it……hopefully, she will make the right decision.

I'm walking away....

This song by Craig David describes how I am feeling at the moment.......I am walking away from the crazy things in life even for a while....

Walking Away
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away
Sometimes some people get me wrong, when it's something I've said or done
Sometimes you feel there is no fun, that's why you turn and run
But now I truly realise, some people don't wanna compromise
Well, I saw them with my own eyes spreading those lies, and
Well I don't wanna live my life, too many sleepless nights
Not mentioning the fights, I'm sorry to say lady
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away
Well, I'm so tired baby
Things you say, you're driving me away
Whispers in the powder room baby, don't listen to the games they play
Girl I thought you'd realise, I'm not like them other guys
Cos I saw them with my own eyes, you should've been more wise and
Well I don't wanna live my life, too many sleepless nights
Not mentioning the fights, I'm sorry to say lady
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away, from the troubles in my life
I'm walking away, oh to find a better day
I'm walking away...

Templates and Pirates...

I have been experimenting with the blogger’s template for the past few days, much to my disappointment, I can’t really find the one and only template, I really like. How’s that? They are either too fancy or very plain and simple. The templates just didn’t go with me. I need to be comfortable with a template that actually defines the real "me" when I blog. A friend of mine told me today that she did not like the jet black template I had before this. She said, it is just not you! You know what template colour suits you?? Pastel colours!...

The template which I am currently using is the only one that I am comfortable with. Wow, I didn’t know I can be so analytical, especially when it is only a template. Well, I guess I might have to go for the "DO-IT-YOURSELF" (DIY) template. Pheeew, which means I have to learn up on those HTML codes pretty fast. Hmm, by the looks of it, it might take me years to master the codes. Oh well, better late than never, right?

Anyway, as I was browsing through the papers today and was very thrilled to discover the following:-

“Pirates of the Caribbean 2 , Dead Man’s Chest ” Previews in Cinemas, 13 July 2006.
Starring, Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley etc.

Yess, I would not want to miss it for the world. Oh ya, I hope my lil sis will be around to accompany me as she was the one who told me to watch Pirates of Carribean 1, The Curse of the Black Pearl, in the first place. It was all her idea…….;D The last time I went for a world preview was probably 15 years ago when I was in Leicester Square, London for the movie Assasins, and saw Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith walking on the red carpet...Wow, to think of it, that was more than a decade ago....oooit, I dont feel thaaaaatt old ;D

Weekend marathon...

I was supposed to complete some office assignments yesterday since the dateline is on Monday, but instead I felt the need to watch the new DVDs I have with me. Schmucks, me and my usual weakness, I just love to procrastinate…I am so good at it! So, there I was infront of the TV, equipped with packs of assorted nuts and my favourite blackcurrant aloe vera juice …lovely eh, to just relax and enjoy the moment.

The first movie I watched was Yours, Mine & Ours. I saw the trailer when I was in Midvalley watching Nanny McPhee months ago. Yikes, till now I really dunno how the hell did I end up watching Nanny McPhee in the first place, Oh well, one of those moments where anything goes……The movie Yours, Mine & Ours has Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo as the leading actors. It’s a comedy about two single parents who got married at an impulse. They were long lost high school sweethearts and that eventually crossed path again after years of having separate lives and family. Helen (Russo) a widower cum fashion designer of 10 kids and Frank (Quaid), an Admiral of 8 kids. Since day one, the kids just hated one another. They made an agreement to wreck their parents’ MARRIAGE. Those schemes they did were darn hilarious and beyond my expectations. My verdict : worth watching, as it has all the right ingredients, it makes you laugh your head off, it makes you want to cry at the same time and most importantly, it is so good to see Quaid acting again after all those years.

My second movie was Just Friends. Surprisingly, me, a sucker for romantic comedies did not find this movie interesting. Also about high school sweethearts or was it friends. It is about a chubby geek who had the hots for his pretty and popular best friend, Jamie. After being insulted by the other guys when they discovered how he felt for Jamie, he left for LA to prove them wrong. He turned into a handsome and trendy music executive. He managed to shed off those extra pounds and became the MAN he has always wanted to be. As fated, he was forced to return to his hometown New Jersey and eventually bumped into Jamie. Forced to face the past and figure out his true love for Jamie all over again. My Verdict : The two main leads just did not have the sparks or chemistry and pretty dull storyline.

one of the sizzling scenes in Match Point

The last movie I did get to watch yesterday was Match Point. It is a Woody Allen film. Very British for me, but I simple love it. It is full of scandals, temptations, obsessions and passion. It evolves around the life of a one-time tennis pro..:) Me very like scandals! Haha…It has a superb storyline and the ending was something that I definitely did not expect. Was reading about it in the yahoo movies, it had good reviews altogether. My verdict : A good watch.

Gosh, three DVDs in a row…..it was fun, I tell you. Later that night, my family and I headed towards Taman Melawati for dinner with my only brother and family. The menu was “kacang pol” and chicken rice. Kacang pol is a dish which originated from the middle east but is very popular in Singapore. I bet most Singaporeans have tried this “kacang pol” for breakfast or lunch. It is made of a certain bean or “kacang”, where the beans are mashed up and cooked with some spices and herbs. It is eaten with the french bread or baguette and sprinkled with spring onions, green chillies, chopped fresh onions and squashed lime juice. Yummy, yummy.
This is a snapshot of the “kacang pol” we had last night:

It’s already Sunday, and I still have a few more DVDs to watch which I borrowed from my brother, hmmm, am still contemplating to finish up those assignments or watch more DVDs…Opppss, this is bad…...what's with me, why so lazy la????

Terlalu istimewa....

I have always been a fan of Adibah Noor. A friend of mine told me once that Adibah Noor is very popular among the organizers of corporate dinners and functions. There will always be demands for her to perform. She is known in the industry as the singer with fantastic and powerful vocals. Why I like her is because everything about her is natural, the voice, the personality and the sense of humour. Not only can she sing, she can also act and host!! She was great in the film, "Sepet"..she acted as the funny and outspoken "orang gaji" who loves listening to the music, or was it 'thai' songs! To think of it, she is very versatile, she even hosted in one of the TV programmes, if I can recall correctly, it was something on candid cameras or photos. Hmmmmm..;D

Anyway, I came across a beautiful number, sung by her in her latest album...and boy, at this very moment, I am so hooked onto it. Ohhh, by the way, her latest album is currently topping the charts of Tower Records, KLCC. Finallly, after all those years of waiting, an album from the gutsy and powerful lady! yes, yes, way to go...

Terlalu Istimewa

(Song : Azlan Abu Hassan , Lyrics: Adibah Noor)

Ku tatap gambar wajahmu
Sinar mata itu
Lirik senyumanmu
Pesona yang membelai
Wajahmu bercahaya
Memberi bahagia
Tiap yang memandang
Hati jadi salju
Kau terlalu istimewa
Kasih dan sayangmu terpancar
Seikhlas
Tiada batasan terus membara
Terkilan rasa jiwa
Inginku lihatmu dewasa
Apa daya
Tuhan menyayangimu
Ku pasti kau berbahagia
Duduk di sampingNYA
Mendengar cerita
Segala rahsia
Tak tertanggung rindu
Mendengar suaramu
Tawa mengusik jiwa

Well, here is to a great weekend. I guess I'll be spending my weekend with some office work (aarggh) and Dewa's songs....I am sure that would lift up my spirits, especially the song -Selimut Hati .....:)

Selimut Hati by Dewa

Back to Reff.
Tinggalkan sejenak lalumu..beri s'dikit waktu..
Kepadaku..tuk meyakinkanmu...

Stop dissin' me will ya!!

Some people I know can be pretty obnoxious, nasty, authoritative and plain rude. Hell, no conscience or no regrets on their part when they decide to drop the bomb on you. When you point out that particular bad trait she/he has, the ANSWER you will normally get is –

“I am just being frank, honest and direct. That is how I am, don’t take it personally.”

Yeah right…probably they don’t know the difference between being “rude” and “direct” ;D

**Sigh**

Gosh, one does not have to be mean and rude to be direct, right? If you want people to respect you for being direct and open, you should first learn to be respectful of others as well. It works both ways! With that in mind, the concept of frank-ness and open-ness will be made transparent! It helps to have the brains, style and sincerity to be direct and frank. Do not try to cover your lack of kindness by saying you are being honest and direct. Grow up and be responsible for your actions.

Hmm, we need a whole lot of peace, love and respect to make the world a better place to live in. Oh well, can't just change a person in a day...
